levels of undo 1997 LENGTH: 1 min 40 seconds FORMAT: DV |
levels of undo is an experimental short in which a hand peels and orange, and repeatedly writes and un-writes the words "I have no regrets". Using page peel effects, and reversing the video, this video is a metaphor for actions and inactions in our daily lives.
It was edited using Adobe Premiere, and was completely shot and edited using the DV video format. levels of undo has already appeared in the Short Attention Span Film/Video Festival, playing in San Francisco and New York City. It was created during a residency at the New Media Lab East, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Additional support was provided through a residency at the Experimental Television Center, sponsored by the New York Council on the Arts.

Weatherman 1994 LENGTH: 7 min FORMAT: 3/4 inch video |
Television is rapidly evolving, and the "channel surfer" is becoming as much a part of American mythology as the "couch potato" has been. Within this video is The Weatherman, a character who steps into different elements of television in order to comment on it, himself "surfin" within channels.
I was chosen as a delegate to the 2nd Video Olympiad Festival of Local Video and Television Creation for this video, which was selected for the "open" category in the United States. It also received an Honorable Mention at the American International Film and Video Festival. It was selected by the Decordova Museum for its video archives.

Test Tape 1993 LENGTH: 6 min FORMAT: 3/4 inch video |
What are tests, how do we feel about them, and how do they affect us? This is a video which combines images of tests, and audio of peoples' response to this question. It was played all night at Somerville Access Television, and responses to the video are incorporated in this piece.
For some of the audio, I interviewed people, and sampled some of their reactions to the question: "What do you think about tests". Test Tape was originally structured as a video which has no beginning, middle, or end, but takes place as an ongoing video, designed for the late night channel-surfer.
