the artist
Leif is a bomb-carrying member of aunt nell's crisis club. he lives
in a little one bedroom place above a arts and crafts store. little
is known about his private life. a bill collector did enter his
apartment once, only to discover little kitsch art objects in the
process of being made on the kitchen table, a broken coffee pot on the
floor, cigarette butts in the sink, and twenty-year-old Hustler
magazine on the toilet tank when he used the bathroom. Leif is
rumored to have a son in a federal prison and a wife who lives with
her mother in iowa.
the art
leif creates bird houses, ceramic owls, owls made from pine cones and
dyed chicken feathers, and place mats. he also makes propaganda
leaflets denouncing the norwegian judicial system on his tandy
personal computer that he bought with money from a tax return in 1988.
the beret
leif wears a blue visor with the word "hawaii" printed on it. leif
went to hawaii for a weekend, on his honeymoon.
