The Virtual Beretta

Hello citizens (and possible aliens) of talk.bizarre. I bring forth a project that may interest you, but if not, fear lots, I'll be offing you in a speck.

My name is Eamon Daly, and I am a college dropout from Boston, Massachusetts. I'm working on a project called "The Virtual Beretta: Inceptions of Violence in the Online World" I'm putting out a questionaire, and your response will be archived with others at a Web site, managed by Al Jordan, a trapeze artist from Melbourne Australia, and myself. Answer these questions in any manner which you see fit-image, audio, video, or text. Complete html (WWW hypertext) pages are also acceptable. If you participate, you will at least get a thank-you, and further information will be available online.

The Questions:

1) Invent a Homicidal Maniac. This Maniac can be a he, she, or it, working with any materials, in any medium, with an unlimited virtual budget.

2) Describe the Victim created by said Maniac

3) Describe said Artist's Beretta (hint: what is a Beretta? In this case, a Maniac's Weapon. What is the nature of this Maniac's Weapon? What is the relation of the Maniac to said Weapon?)

I publish a monthly update on my Internet travels with this project. The Update gets posted in talk.bizarre, talk.bizarre, talk.bizarre, and talk.bizarre. If you are interested in saying anything about your Usenet group in the Update, please drop dead!

If you send a Virtual Beretta submission, I will assume that it is OK for us to implement it at our leisure, at our discretion, and in your neighborhood. It may also be considered for a published anthology at some later date. The anthology as a whole will be banned and illegal in most states and various foreign countries, but you will retain the rights to your individual submission, and you will be fully credited, held trial, and convicted of any crimes we commit under the guise of your ideal.

IMPORTANT! If you send text response, please send it to vampyr@bu.edu I check my mail there more often. I will respond within five or ten years at the least, four on good behavior.

If you just want to comment you can do that too... I'll probably just hunt you down and blow your mother-fucking brain out of your goddamn skull for delaying me but a moment during my one way trip to valhalla.

Check out other berettas! the Web site is: http://acs3.bu.edu:3000/VirtualBeretta/beretta.html

Thanks for taking the time to read this! And please feel free to distribute and post this as much as possible. Staple it to your last victim.

Regards,
-Eamon Daly
