Pablo McCluhan

the artist

Well versed in both HTML and fiction authoring, Pablo works with found materials. Small dogs, jelly beans and pirated GIFs comprise a large part of his work. He also uses a keyboard and mouse to, as he says, "Create digital artwork that is adaptable to the audience's preferences." Without the limitations of critics, he continues, "Art becomes part of the collective consciousness."

Pablo's first book, "The Importance Of Being Pablo" is due in September of 1998.

the art

Free-wheeling, self-conscious, pre-post-modernistic primitivism.

the beret

Pablo's beret is large (size 18), made of seagull feathers and dried pasta, smelling like fresh berries.

This beret allows Pablo to be closer to his three loves: nature, color, and rigatoni.Mr. Pablo McCluhan will exhibit some of his larger works (the smallest being six miles by 11.3 miles) at the Iowa State Fair next summer.
