Mr Koopido
the artist
Artist: Mr. Koopido
Physical Manifestation: dark, brooding, sentimental
robo-chicken with legs made of used q-tips and a beak made out of a
Chick Fil-A box.
the art
Koopido's art is a sophisticated homogeny of the pathetic, the kitsch,
the classics and the sciences. High nature and low art. He uses
profound poetry and philosophical insights to describe mundane things
such as the operation of a ziploc bag. He likens himself to artists
such as Bela Bartok and Grimaldi the clown, without knowing much about
either. Except that one was slung on a chain by his father for laughs
and the other admired rotting logs.
Koopido creates computer paintings and text using biometric signals
from sleeping dogs. He doesn't have devices that capture the biometric
signals so he uses his q-tips and direct observation to "guess."
