It really is very experimental. It started out as just an
academic exercise but it has since taken on a real life of
it's own. I am not sure the direction that it will
ultimately take but for now it is heavily deconstructionist.
What it is trying to communicate is that a close scrutiny
of intense human suffering shows that there is no underlying
sense to the pain inflicted, that is, the thing that we
call "human suffering" really does not exist in any objective
sense and is merely a reflection of the ego.
the beret
My beret ( really more of a helm ) is fashioned from tanned
human skin and femurs. My relation to the helm? Well I
view it as sort of a ridiculous object ( it is quite whimsical )
it serves to remind me of the inherent foolishness of my
undertakings - it keeps we grounded.
